Maykan Consulting was founded to do one thing well: put the right parties in the same room. It draws on relationships built over more than a decade in banking.
Background.
The team brings more than ten years of experience as relationship managers in banking, covering oil and gas clients in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
That work meant structuring facilities, assessing credit and getting to know businesses across the energy value chain, from operators to the service companies that support them. It also meant building trusted relationships with owners, finance directors and capital providers on both sides of the corridor.
Maykan Consulting puts that experience to direct use. Many good transactions fail not for lack of merit but because the right counterparties never meet. We make that introduction, and we make it with an understanding of how a lender, investor or acquirer will view the opportunity.

How we work.
- Discretion
- Client names and transaction details are shared only with consent, and only with parties who have a genuine reason to see them.
- Selectivity
- We take on a limited number of mandates so that each receives proper attention. If we are not the right firm for a transaction, we say so.
- Quality of introduction
- We would rather make one well-qualified introduction than ten speculative ones. Each counterparty is screened for intent and capacity first.
- Continuity
- We stay with a transaction after the introduction, helping discussions progress through to completion.
